Sintra Morning View

Day 2 / Lodging View

Sintra Morning View.

Before the day became a long cross-Portugal drive, we had a brief, useful orientation moment from the lodging area: Pena Palace and the Castle of the Moors sitting across the Sintra ridge in morning light.

A quiet look back before the road.

The day began with Sintra still visible from the lodging area: Pena Palace and the Castle of the Moors across the ridge, clear enough to set the geography before the route moved on.

This was not a second castle visit or a hidden attraction. It was the moment that placed us in Sintra one last time before Regaleira and the long drive north.

The morning felt simple in the best way: a checkout view, a familiar ridge, and the first visual breath of a day that would become much denser.

What this view is doing.

A small orientation beat before the route starts properly.

Scope

Keep it small

This is a three-photo prologue from the lodging area: Pena Palace, the Castle of the Moors, and the ridge before leaving Sintra.

Image Boundary

Keep the approach road separate

The tiled roadside fountain and walled-road frames belong to the drive toward Quinta da Regaleira. This page stays with the lodging-view ridge moment.

Three frames, just enough to place the day before Regaleira takes over.

Checkout Morning Ridge View

This is not a second visit to Pena or the Moors. It is the kind of small travel moment that helps the day make sense later: the landmarks visible from where we were staying, the ridge in clear light, and the quiet minute before packing the car and heading for Quinta da Regaleira.
